ISRAEL

I'm preparing this evening to leave again... (seems like endless travel right now) for ISRAEL. For those of you who didn't hear, I was awarded a scholarship from Indiana Wesleyan University to go on a 10-day tour of the Holy Land led by one of our Old Testament Professors - Dr. Wilbur Williams.

Not sure exactly what our itinerary will be - it seems to be changing quite regularly, but I promise to give a full update and details as soon as I can (hopefully with some sweet photo's)! Here's what I have currently... it may change.

Day 1 - Depart North America
Day 2 - Connect via Milan, Italy before arriving in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Day 3 - Depart for Galilee - visiting Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, Megiddo, Nazareth, Cana and Tiberias with the potential of witnessing a baptism in the Jordan River...
Day 4 - Watching the sunrise on the Sea of Galilee before a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee in a wooden replica of the "Jesus Boat". We will visit many biblical sites along the Sea of Galilee and in the Upper Jordan Valley including Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes, Caesarea Philippi, Magdala, view Mt. Hermon etc.
Day 5 - We head to Jerusalem via Mt. Tabor, Ein Harod, Beth Shan, and Jericho.
Day 6 - Today we begin to investigate Jerusalem - Mt. of Olives, The Church of the Ascension, Gethsemane, the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) of Herod's temple, Dome of the Rock, Pools of Bethesda, follow the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the ancient Cardo.
Day 7 - We will leave Jerusalem to visit the Dead Sea and the wilderness of Judah. Visiting Qumran, Ein Gedi, Masada and the wilderness mountain where King Herod built a fortress before returning to Jerusalem.
Day 8 - Free Day in Jerusalem...
Day 9 - Today we visit Mt. Zion, The Upper Room, the Israel Museum (where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed) before finishing the day off at the Garden Tomb with an optional communion service.
Day 10 - Depart Tel Aviv, Israel - Arrive USA.

Well - I hope that's helpful... like I said, I'll try to update you completely once I return. Until then, I'll sign off! OUT!
Clint.

Australia Itinerary...

Well, I know it's been a while since I posted... but I'm sitting in class quite bored, so I thought I'd post our itinerary for our visit to Australia in May and just outline a few of the events and highlights during that time... So, here's the deal:

  • May 9th (USA) - Clint leaves Indianapolis (IND - HBT) for Hobart.
  • May 11th - Clint arrives in Hobart, Tasmania to spend a couple of days hanging out with some of his close friends from QLD who will meet him down there...
  • May 12th (USA) - Jamie (and my parent's) leaves Indianapolis (IND - BNE) for Brisbane.
  • May 13th - Clint arrives in Brisbane (HBT - BNE) for a night out with brothers Jeff & Mitch
  • May 14th - Jamie (and my parent's) arrive in BNE
  • May 15th - Clint will be speaking at Riverside Community Church
  • May 16-21 - Hanging out with FAMILY, wedding prep etc.
  • May 22 - JEFF & SHAREE's WEDDING!!!
  • May 23-25 - Hanging out with Friends and Family...
  • May 25 - Clint & Jamie leave BNE for Sydney to spend a couple days with Clint's brother - Dean
  • May 29 - Leave SYD for IND...
Well - I think that about covers it... hope that answers questions for those who've been asking... The really exciting part for us is that added to all of this, my parents will be here in the USA with us for my graduation etc. They arrive here in IND on Wed, APR 27 and then leave on the same day as Jamie to return to Australia... so we'll get to hang out with them for almost 2 wks before we even get back.

We are really excited about all of this - and can't wait to catch up with all of you Australian friends and family... We'll keep you posted as things develop!!!
Love you guys,
Clint.
